This certificate provides a focused area of study for students who wish to design or implement electronic health records to enhance the user experience or usability, or participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety. Case-based individual and team projects demonstrate mastery of methods in national standards and meeting the expectations of accrediting organizations.

The certificate program is offered at the undergraduate and graduate level.
