“The COVID-19 pandemic hit in my second semester and exposed us to many examples of public leadership in times of crisis. My professors used current events, data and crisis-decision making throughout their teaching. The projects in their classes often asked us to use a real-life decision we had to make in our own jobs because of the pandemic. This hands-on experience demonstrated public management theories and best practices in real time.”
