School Nurse Wellness Coordinator Certificate
The online graduate School Nurse Wellness Coordinator certificate is for Ohio Registered Nurses with three years of school nurse experience and who hold a current School Nurse Professional Pupil Services License through the Ohio Department of Education (ODE).
Ohio State's online school nurse wellness certificate is the only approved program of its kind in the state of Ohio. Through this certificate program, students will be prepared to provide leadership and coordination for the wellness of students and their families, school staff, and the community at large. This online certificate program includes four core master’s level courses and a culminating field experience in an Ohio school. Upon completion of this program, graduates will be eligible for a School Nurse Wellness Coordinator endorsement through ODE.
Experiences will focus on coordinating of the school’s health service delivery system, learning strategies to provide emergency preparedness programming, building collaboration with other leaders in pupil personnel services and administration, and leadership in school health services within the context of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model.
Master of Science in Nursing program or the Doctor of Nursing Practice program.
