The Office of Distance Education and eLearning (ODEE) at The Ohio State University recognizes the importance of privacy to visitors of our website. Ohio State is committed to protecting the privacy of all students; especially those enrolled in distance education courses. In protecting the confidentiality of student education records, Ohio State complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA). 

This privacy policy explains what type of information is collected from you when you visit any of the pages within the Online Programs website. Visitors under the age of 18 must obtain permission from their parents or guardians before sending any personal identifying information to any page within the Online Programs website.

What Information is Collected?

All Online Programs pages use the Google Analytics service to track IP address information. This assists ODEE with improving functionality and content, and in monitoring the website's performance. Except as defined above, no IP address data is shared with parties external to the university.

Some pages within the Online Programs website require voluntary personal information in order to provide online services.
