Patrick credits his educational foundation in the Master of Science in Translational Pharmacology program for enhancing his ability to work across teams and anticipate the needs of various partners in the research process. The program’s interdisciplinary approach gave him insight into the different pressures and goals driving clinical trials, helping him build stronger working relationships and improve study outcomes.

According to Patrick, “The online Master of Science in Translational Pharmacology program at Ohio State gave me a broader understanding of the clinical research ecosystem. It helped me see how my role fits into the larger picture and anticipate the challenges faced by investigators, sponsors, and study coordinators alike.”

He further added, “Having the flexibility to study online while continuing to work full-time was a game-changer. The program’s structure allowed me to regularly see connections at work and supplement my work-experience with relevant knowledge we were learning each week.”

Patrick’s expertise and leadership will soon take center stage at the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) national convention, Geaux Beyond, held April 24-27 in New Orleans. He will present a session titled “Sustaining Studies and Keeping the Team Afloat in Rough Waters,” where he will share insights into maintaining stability and productivity in clinical research during challenging times. His presentation promises to provide practical strategies and inspiration to other research professionals navigating the complexities of the field.
