Meet Olivia

Olivia Nathan
Master of Public Health – Program for Experienced Professionals Student
“Develop a routine rooted in time management and organization. At 34, I never imagined being a student again. Don’t let your age hinder you from pursuing a program to equip you with the tools needed to address the change you want to see in the world.”
Meet Karen

Karen Gilgenbach
Master of Science in Welding Engineering – Student
“My best advice would be that the timing will never be perfect, so even if it does not seem like the perfect time to start, don’t put it off. You can always take one class at a time if things get hectic, but if you never start you will never finish.”
Meet Soledad

Soledad Benitez
Department of Plan Pathology – Faculty
“My first piece of advice would be for students to explore more courses outside of their zone of comfort. Our courses are interesting and there is a lot of applications, not only in agriculture, but also in plant biology and microbiology. Open yourself to look at courses outside your college and outside your program. See if you can find something that might be of your interest and useful and fit with what you want to do later.”
Meet Sarah

Sarah Youssef
Master of Science in Dental Hygiene – Student
“If you’re already thinking about it, stop wasting the time and just do it. If it’s been one year since you’ve been out of school or 10 years, it’s never too late to go back in. There’s always ways to make it happen.”
Meet Jane

Jane Ginther
Online DNP Program – Student
“If you are interested in pursuing additional education but have other responsibilities like caring for a family and working full time, online learning makes it possible.”
