Denise Bronson completed her MSW (1978) and Ph.D. (1986) from the University of Michigan. She joined the faculty in the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University in 1992. Dr. Bronson's research and scholarship has focused primarily on services to families and children with an emphasis on families served in the child welfare system. She has promoted the use of evidence-based practices in child welfare and completed a systematic review on family reunification services. She has authored a book with Dr. Tamara Davis on finding and evaluating evidence for evidence-based practice with Oxford University Press and conducted numerous workshops on this topic. She teaches courses on practice evaluation and currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Director of the MSW Program for the College of Social Work.
